Rockie Charles, writer, vocalist and guitarist passed away on March 12.  Rockie, a great soul singer and guitarist died at 67 after a long battle with cancer.  He was 67, born Charles Merrick in Boothville, Louisiana, November 14, 1942.  Played for years at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Cafe in New Orleans.  In the 1960′s he hit the road backing O.V.
